Outline

The primary roles of the Network are:

1. Identify and facilitate opportunities to strengthen educational service provision in the Murray Mallee.
2. Advisory group to the Networks’ education and training providers (informal or formal);
3. Disseminate information throughout the communities.

Goals:

1. Coordination of relevant/requested community education, training and learning opportunities.

Objective A – To develop a network of all relevant education, training and learning networks (including all facets of learning – eg. formal, informal, leisure) between industry bodies, regional bodies, training providers and communities.

2. Recognition of the value of all facets of learning.

Objective B – To promote the value of learning programs/opportunities.
Objective C – To promote and facilitate learning opportunities for the community.

3. Building beneficial partnerships

Objective D – To facilitate and encourage partnerships to deliver programs.

4. Adoption of a culture of ongoing/lifelong learning.

Objective E - To promote a culture of ongoing/lifelong learning.
Objective F – To assist individuals to identify and action their learning needs.

5. Ensure lifelong learning opportunities continue to be available.

Objective G – To ensure the sustainability of the network
Objective H – To operate under good corporate governance guidelines
