Financial support is available to review and implement existing farm plans through one on one or group workshops and incentives are available for farmers to attend whole farm or property management planning workshops at minimal cost. The Profitable Farm Decisions project is funded by the SA Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resource Management Board. The long term aim is to create changes in land management practices that will improve the condition of the natural resources of the region. It is recognised that to achieve this aim it will be necessary to use an approach that balances the economic, social and environmental needs of a farming business.
Are you interested in gaining formal accreditation for completing a series of workshops to gain skills to make decisions using a whole farm planning process? For further information about the training incentives, support and workshops that could be funded contact info@mmcen.com.au. Some workshops have already been organised and dates and further information can be obtained from the MMCEN calendar Ideas and local Group Leaders wanted!
